3rd season of kaminomi shiru sekai was still good, but focused a lot more on romance/drama than it did on the humour. Every now and then there is a protagonist so awesome that I just want them to be an unbreakable character, and Katsuragi Keima should have been that character!

and wow Gintama was making it way too hard to be quiet for me today :D

My computer is a bit messed up right now and can't do full screen for video, so I'm watching some good 'ol offensive American cartoons. Mostly because the art is terrible so I don't care if the player is small. I am watching a couple eps of Angel Beats a night though on dvd. But after I fix my computer I need to catch up on all the anime series I haven't finished like Eureka Seven: AO and World God Only Knows:Goddesses.

Yes, there are major differences between the manga and the anime. The anime began airing before the manga was complete; as a result, the plot differed between the two, especially the ending.

I enjoyed the anime version, and would be interested in a second season, but obviously it would require a continuation the anime plotline, unless they did a complete reboot to bring it in line with the manga plotline.

Still, as a stand alone story, the anime Elfen Lied is pretty good.

I'm only slightly ashamed to say that I loved that anime. But I agree, they totally wasted the last episode. I realize that there is a LN (which if I ever get into LNs will be among the first I start) but they simply chose a terrible place to make the 'end'.


Watched the first half of Uchoten Kazoku today, and it is actually pretty cool and refreshing. A nice change of pace. Reminds me a bit of Natsume Yuujinchou. There is this thing that keeps bugging me though, that is also one of the major plot points/themes so far, because I just find it so hard to accept that a reasonably sane person would be able to rationalize it.

They keep talking about eating the Tanuki! A species that it seems perfectly clear that it is common knowledge that they are both intelligent and know how to communicate! Then they threw in this weird thing how maybe people don't realize that they are intelligent, but at the same time this seems very contradictory with earlier evidence. Eating tanuki should only be rational in a world where they are not very intelligent. If we could hold conversations with cows, and they could function as working parts of society, I very much doubt we would eat them. This shouldn't be an issue of a higher moral standing, as it is already frowned upon by the vast majority of people to participate in cannibalism.

These people just might have some horrible twisted vore fetish or something...
