Yeah, it's easy to see why girls who are into otome stuff usually don't like such games. Games meant for guys often depict girls as, ugh, passive... docile, submissive and all that.

They sure seem to be getting more and more common everyday, even on Steam, and many of them seem to have good ratings and reviews too.

That's true, though the "hate it or love it" thing was just my observation. It's like, for people who play otome games regularly, they either like Otomate's games or hate them―there's no middle ground. I personally think they're pretty okay (though most companies who have made a bunch of games have their good days and bad days anyway). Sometimes it feels like a waste to drop games halfway through, though I've done it so many times myself (；´∀｀)

I guess I get a small dose of Risa...better than nothing I guess! :D

Yeah, I agree that most people who like otome games are not into non-otome games. (I always noticed that :( )
And yeah, Zeiva is that non-japanese making visual novels, and yep they are pretty much increasing. xDD
As for Otomate....well, I personally do not worry about such things about the "love it" or "hate it" problem as people's opinion's are different and well, I'd pretty much not get involved in it. Don't want to cause inequality to both sides of the spectrum because there might be up's and down's regarding a company producing games and how it interests a few audience and how it doesn't to the other audience.
(I usually pick up games and play them and not have the tendency to drop them even if they are bad and finish them xDD).

Heh! ~ Nice! Yup, you should definitely play all the otome games in history ! >w< Some might be super crappy, with borderline straight - A Mary-sue heroines... But the ikemen are worth it, I suppose. Though, really?! You never played Hakuoki?! It's like... One of the best otomes out there! Theres blood, action, and a tingy bit of romance, but MEIN GOTT, it's so cool >:D
And yeah, we have to study like lunatics. I, myself, am supposed to do homework D8> I just SMELL maths and I feel like I lost half of my soul *blegh*

She will be not returning, but she is remained in that role - At StB she acts still as Yukina, there doesn't gave a change in the cast. I did the first 2 eps. of StB II-OVA seen, and at ED I could clearly see on the cast-list, that she is in.

Basically, the error say you have to install the game with the game disk so you have to use a virtual disk program for this case :). Try this:
- Install a virtual drive program like Daemon Tool: http://www.disk-tools.com/download/daemon
- Mount the ISO file to daemon tool.
- Install the game.

Ooh, Office lovers! ~ Yeah, finished 3 routes in mobile version, now I'm trying to finish the main guy and the sadistic megane-san. It's fun and smutty (heh). I'm more into the amazing shinsengumi though! That one wasn't as good as Hakuoki in terms of Bakamatsu history (or the actual plot) but it had SMUT as well! So it got me xP
You a fan of Tiaramode's games? It kinda' went downhill, but sometimes I just go and replay butlers because nightmode is so much fun ~
