Do not doubt the power of a SSD boot drive. They are seriously awesome. When you just want something to be read really fast, SSDs take the cake and run away with it. There is only so much mechanical can do, but they are good for storage. I currently have a 124GB SSD and a 1.81TB mechanical, and I'm thinking of getting another mechanical so I can set up RAID backup.

[MENTION=40801]infamous[/MENTION] they are certainly more expensive than mechanical drives, but if you want one for a boot drive you should be able to get a 64GB SSD for around $50 if you wait for a sale. I payed a bit extra for mine because I periodically put other large files on it.

Also, I hope you have a backup for that drive or it might hurt when it dies.

I miss my arizona teas lol. when i bought that in the picture, they were 50% off, i got 24 for 12 dollars!!

and pyre, i'll get to it eventually... hopefully lol. i know ssd's are good for putting an OS on, and i have a shitload of space for extra drives, but i don't have the money right now

Money is usually an issue. But I wouldn't put off getting a backup for too long. I can only imagine how sad it would be if I ever actually lost all my old projects and stuff. That is why I have it backed up in several places at any time (though getting RAID 1 should make that easier, I'll probably do that at the start of summer).

Well you see moose all of the time. If you drive out you might see a grizzly Bear out in a plain. Then there's lots of big mosquitoes that will drill through a sweatshirt lol. But there are big mountains everywhere so its nice.
