I know, but originally it ends with destroying Nova II and Taku staying alive instead here we get an open ending, also Nanami dies

EDIT: Okay that may have not been Nanami I just jumped into a conclusion because they said that one of the victim's hand was cut off.
EDIT2: So my hunch was right, the reason why it's so confusing is because they apparently followed the VN and not the anime, thats why there are new/differently played out scenes in recap. Also Ending probably wasn't that important to recap so they just kinda left it out.
