Random events? I have to buy a 3DS soon so I can play my Heart Gold. It just keeps crashing after like 15 trainer battles when I use an emulator. And an emulator doesn't give the right feeling.

I don't know :/ When I started playing it by emulator it worked fine after I wrote in a code that prevents blackscreen. It got 2 problems though. The room you pass through to the right of the Violet city pokemon center to get to the route. If you walk through that room a couple of time the game screws up and crashes. Except for that it's only the battle thing. After battling a certain ammount of trainers or something the game just freeze and you'll have to reset it.
