do you mean, would i rather play the VN or read the script? i'd have to go with the VN. now if you mean, would i rather have a complete patch, or a patch where everything is in english, but with japanese grammar, than i'd say a complete patch

I'm thinking about softsubbing the vn, like having a separate window or something, but it will still be human-translated.

I consider this because I wish to bypass the text arranging, image editing, etc. processes which are extremely grueling. I don't have enough time to do that anymore. I can let someone else do it but I trust no one not to give a half-baked result, so if I can't aim for perfection anyway I might want to just focus all my attention to sufficiency.

Will consult Checkmate about this later.
