The Death Note should recognize all languages. I mean, there's Lind L Taylor written in English on one page, whilst there is Japanese for the other pages. Just like in the anime/manga series.

There's also the rule where you have to think about the person's face, so that it doesn't kill of a person with the same name. But it shouldn't kill him because I don't think anyone would think of their face when writing an autograph.
