Yes, in Japan, Valentine's Day is celebrated completely different.

On Valentine's Day, women give chocolate to men. There's two types of chocolate, one for friends, colleagues, bosses, etc, and the other for boyfriends, lovers, husbands, etc.

And then, on March 14 is White Day, where men give white chocolate to the women who gave chocolate to them.

well in america......well at least in my state, women don't do shit. men are supposed to give women chocolate and/or flowers, and women just hang out with high expectations for a valentines day date.
