Really depends on the job. A military job probably wouldn't be significantly different than a company job. Wages may tend to be worse though, whereas I would be more likely to decline.

There is not really any good reason for me to feel bad about unintended consequences of someone re-purposing my creations. The manufacturer of baseball bats intends it to be used to play baseball. I don't think they feel that bad or responsible for people using them as weapon, on rare occasion. Feeling responsible doesn't seem rational, especially as war ethics still apply (unless you believe that the government is evil and irresponsible as a rule, then the war ethics may not apply).
