playing batter is interesting for me. Waiting ball is bored a little. But it is more interesting than just watching games played by other people.

playing games and watching games are very different stuffs.

I think having hobby is good thing. Watching games is one of hobbies.
Just I'm not interested in watching.

It has been my experience that the majority of people sharing my hobbies tend to not be sports fans. It is perhaps more strongly apparent in the Go community, but I assume it wouldn't be too much different in an anime community.
