Yeah it is a site for playing Go that basically hasn't had anything happen to it since... maybe 2007? And then suddenly now they merged with some other server without telling anybody so everything is completely different now. Lots of useful new features, but not really the same site either. XD

after watching hikaru no go, i had the impression that the game is very complicated.

The game is very simple, but there are many skill levels. HnG went a little over the top at some points (though I only read it, never watched it). The GBA game for HnG was awesome though (even with using an emulator and making the game accelerate the 'boss' still took forever to move... and then would make a terrible move XD).

People compare it to chess, but the game itself is completely different. You place stones on a grid to try to obtain the most territory (encircled space).
