Sry for late reply, been a bit preoccupied lately, with additional sleeping and eating habits out of this world. Even for me.

Yes I know, and remember it back then as well. But the fear of it has has been a lot of psychology. I'm not sure how founded those fears was back then, but today it's basically just an old myth that refuses to die. My original estimate I thought I heard somewhere was apparently a bit of an understatement, as it might be more like ~75 years of average use it seems ! And thats for the new TLC cells which is less durable than MLC...
All though I think it would be wise to consider different drives differently(so no one gets blinded by a number in all their SSD "journey's "), and just also leave some room for other factors as well.
