I guess many horror movies have violence, but not all. I don't mind horror, but it's not my cup of tea.

Violence is just ruthless behaviour mixed with using your physical prowess with the intent to hurt and/or kill another person.

Horror doesn't necessarily tie in with violence. It's more associated with the fear of the unknown.

Whether you like movies with violence or not is up to you. I don't mind. But liking violence in a movie is not the same as liking violence outside of it.
