Well, I think that the best format for movies is the trilogy format: a franchise shouldn't be more than 3 movies, because otherwise suffers the franchise itself - so is it e.g. like with Star Wars or Harry Potter: they're the victim of their own success, what this even hardcore fans of the franchise feel...
