You have to pay for DoTA2 I heard, is that true?

Yeah, I think so.
Since it's Valve, it will be on Steam.
So... yeah, you have to pay to play.
 
=3= That sucks, the original DoTA is free to play and is developed by gamer like us originally >.> (Some actually moved on to those who build League of Legends now), why DoTA 2 suddenly require pay to play >.>, that's sad >.>

Even though is a bit imba at the moment, I still think LoL will be great. Will have to see about DoTA2, if its pay to play, it will end up like HoN and will be free to play eventually, just because there's not enough player, most is snatched off by LoL due to the free to play business.
