for some reason my computer seems to be.... don't know the word to describe it but, "unable to recognize" .inf files (the autorun things)
So whenever I mount an image file, I can't auto run it (ticked me off)
also any music CDs, doesn't work too unless I run the music files directly

Ah, Microsoft had auto run disabled by default. Completely removed the function for security reasons that came from Vista.

As far as I know, Win 7 doesn't take custom .inf scripts.

But autoruns worked perfectly till I tried to install alcohol 120% this morning ;_;

Don't know if it's custom or not, but it's a game image file (I didn't edit it or something)

Hey, Alcohol 120 is a known software that conflicts with the auto run feature. Daemon tools is the software you want if you are only mounting virtual disks.

But if you want Alcohol 120 for other reasons, then run Alcohol, go to options ---> general options ---> enable system auto play function. Save and close.

There's no real reason for me to have alcohol really, it's just the game I have won't work with daemon tools and most softwares & it is recommended to use alcohol

I've uninstalled it already but the problem seems to persist
