The one that really made my tears dropped: Air ; ; that beach moment.

After that I kinda went down the dark path (see <-) and the most sad ending do is either make me rage or slightly teary eyed.

I finished watching three anime's over the past week and ended up feeling
ripped off with each of the endings

Claymore: Why Oh why does such exquisite blood and gore have such a sappy ending
Toradora: Too damn predictable and I don't mean just the ending
Angel Beats : Alright I guess though I didn't understand why I was so depressed about it

Elfen Lied was pretty damned sad and definitely a tear-jerker. And even though Bleach isn't actually over, the end of the Aizen story was really sad.

The sad sap stuff doesn't work for me really, but at the same time I get much sadder at stuff that's probably supposed to be more endearing.

Same for shock value stuff like Elfen Lied's "puppy scene" which just made you angry, then happy about what came next.

Heartwarming scenes like the "Thank you Yukari sensei" in Azumanga's last ep was one that made me well up the first time I saw it and "worked" a lot more on me, heh.

Depends a lot if you like the series also.
