What is your opinion on Time Travelling?

Time travelling to the future seem to be possible with hibernation.

Currently I do not wish to travel to the future, as I don't wanna
go to an unknown place what I have no clue about.

It may be worth only in case, that after my death, my brain would be
preserved and resurrected in the future inside the body of a cyborg.


Time traveling to the past seem to be impossible or too dangerous.

Even if a traversable wormhole would suddenly popup next to me, I
guess that I won't jump into it mindlessly, as it would just lead
to anywhere unknown, and I don't wanna pick a fight with my past self.

I think so, that instead of time travelling I rather wanna body swap
with myself in an alternative universe, where I have been born as a
very rich Japanese, so I would be able to legally buy everything I need.
 
I want to simply live in the present as I know for a fact that whatever I do today will create an impact on my future.
 
I am planning to buy life insurance to cover the cost of cyrogenically preserving my full body when I die, which will sort of be like time travel if things work out.

I think investing in the chance to live in a time that's far more advanced than what my human lifespan will allow me to is one of the best investments I can make for myself, however slim that chance might be. It's not like I'll need the money for anything else once I'm dead.
 
If I could time travel I'd tell my youngerself to go with science and technology instead of human studies

If I could time-travel I'd tell my younger self to study other majors.
 
had a great time reading all those John Titor posts from 2001 recently.This guy is awesome...his time travel stories are impressive. from a technical standpoint ...from the physics to everet´s many worlds intepretation.I really,really want to believe...
 
I don't want to be stress out thinking about the future, I feel like people need to focus more in the present.
 
Probably should be noted that the actual time travel notion is technically Space-Time Travel, because science and stuff.

err, basically if realistic method is discovered, still have to make calculations of where you end up , not just when, or else you might get stuck in a rock that didn't exist in past/present/future

so I think can happen. maybe

tho if i believe in parallel timelines only, since paradox may happen if travel in own past, but i not sure.
 
Time-traveling is actually quite scary. People could mess with the future and past and we'd be none the wiser.
It's a scary thought; to me at least.
 
If I were to ever get superpowers I've always wanted ones that could manipulate time, it sounds like so much fun. And all the visual novels and games and stories with time shenanigans are always the best, but it's really hard to pull off, there has to be really good rules and continuity, or it doesn't make sense

Depends, if the past can be changed then no, else yes.

If you can choose to time travel and alter your life decision will you do it? (Let's just say the time paradox doesn't exist.)
No, I learn thanks to mistakes, every small decision results in the me of now.

What do you think of time paradox such as going back to kill your ancestor and completely rewrite history?
I think it's impossible for a paradox to occur, the universe seems perfect, if I go back to the past can kill an ancestor then it was destined to happen an will not break any rule of the time, even if I see it as illogical.

Do you think there will be future if Time travelling is enabled?
Like the first question, if the past can be changed then no, else yes.

Will you want to travel into the future and see what it is like?
Yes, the technological advance of this era always surprises me, then the technological advances of the future will be something beyond what I can imagine.

Will you make yourself a billionaire if you travel back in time and know that certain big events will happen?
If it affects the me of the past no, else yes.


Finally, I think that if time travel is possible then it could not cause any paradox, I feel that we are looking at time travel from a wrong angle therefore we end up thinking that paradoxes can occur, I believe that the universe is perfect and their rules cannot be broken.
 
I think it would be cool but tbh it would be too tempting to use it frequently to change all kind of small and big mistakes from the past. I think I would get too caught up on changing the past to improve the present and forget to really live in the moment.

This post was in 2010, so 16 years has passed. This is quite amazing about how time flies... they say that the real free item in this world is only the time, but it is also priceless because the time only goes forward and never backward...

If time travel is possible, i think i will like it; ofc depends if there is any sacrifice...

Not really, it´s not like i have regrets that should alter my current life style. But maybe i would like to have enjoyed more my youth or my high school days. I just focused on study, never had crush or fall in love with someone. Also, never did crazy stuff like the anime shows.

The future only exists if there is past and present... I dont think all the human beings in this world want to go back and stay in the past, maybe there are people that enjoy the present and just keep moving on, so i believe that there will be future.

To be honest, i´m scared about knowing my future, isn´t it more exciting if the future remains unknown? if something happens then just let it be. Life is too short to think about the future, most of the people are just struggling or trying to survive :x So why not just enjoy the present if it is possible idk.

DEFINITIVELY I WILL MAKE MYSELF A BILLIONAIRE HAHAHAHAHHAHA.
 
I like it, but it's too easy to make it "boring". Time travel for me needs to make me hooked, and if we are talking games/books time travel usually catches my attention if the MC time traveled and found love in that new timeline, just like Outlander.

As for Time travel for reality, like someone said before, we can only travel into the future, not into the past (as per research). But I would love to travel into the past to actually research stuff, imagine going to the library of Alexandria ugh that would be awesome.
