they're supposedly fixing it with the new one coming out, but they ruined resident evil too. it used to be a survival horror, but with 5 & 6 they wanted to give it a "B movie" feel to it. a lot of people were upset about it. have you completely turned your back on mainstream games, or are there still some that eventually catch your eye?

Precisely. The cheesy and melodramatic B movie feel that ruins series. =\ Like Age of Empires 3, which is supposed to be a historical game, unbelievably and unforgivably has fictional story. And I was going to mention RE too.

The only mainstream series I'll probably ever buy from now on is Civilization, and maybe some old RTS series that's still not completely dead like Homeworld or Company of Heroes.
