I can't begin to tell you how many times I've opened the config files with Notepad++... so yes, it includes that.
The trick is changing the presets, themselves, which is how I added more saturation to the color. Those presets are pretty bland, in terms of color. I don't know why plasticmind feels the need for that.
If you want the original look of HS back, use the "Default" preset with your Config. But yeah, getting the main game and the Studio to look the same or similar is a different story.

Honestly, man, lol, all those prices sound like overspending/overkill! What else do you need that kind of power, for? A lot of Intel guys overclock their $200-300 CPUs and get great results. All I can say is that I'll never spend $500+ for a CPU; that's outrageous.

And why Intel/Nvidia? I'm fairly certain that the whole AMD+Radeon Vs. Intel+Nvidia combos was bullshit. I don't think it makes any difference if you mix the CPU/GPU combos, and like I said, that whole theory was debunked, years ago.
...Of course, I could just be reading too deeply into what you said, lol!

Other settings? Like what, the Shadows, SSR, etc.? I've tried many of those and nothing changed, if that's what you mean. And it's not ReShade, either, as I removed that to see if it'd fix it.
Your After Work Monday sounds like a solid plan, though on my part, I'm at a loss as to what to do.
I would be curious to see what Config settings you ended up with, as I wondered about doing that, too.

I just don't remember it ever being so bad in the old studio; even in the main game it seems lesser. It's just frustrating to see everyone else rejoicing about NEO and I'm over here struggling with a pathetic aliasing issue.
Just tried MSAA 16, and I didn't see any difference. Ugh.

Hmm... looking at your cards, I guess I'm not alone with the aliasing/quality issue going on with NEO, as I can see some major jaggies along the skin.
Happy to see you got that running, again, though I am curious how you got it workin'.

Ugh, I hate to be such a negative nelly, but this whole NEO/quality issue has been driving me bonkers. I can't not notice the issues, and I end up ultimately doing nothing. : /

I solved the 4k, but it took me about 8-9 attempts doing so. Something went bad in my 32x and 64x folders over and over. If it wasn't the 4k refusing to work, it were a loopy-loop on start-up of NEO.
I can't really say if it is BA's fault or not, but things went sour after I installed it. I'm guessing on that it's relatively safe to install.
So yeah, 4k should work for HS and NEO, but not yet for BA.

No new H animations from what I could see, but quite a few new battle animations for various kind of weapons and without (punches and kicks), along with "dying" animations.

New animations you say? Are they H animations or normal ones? Were you able to figure out the 4K situation as well? I'm still hesitant on updating.

Oh, duh, wasn't expecting Battle Arena to already garner its own abbreviation. Yup, it's gotta be BA, then. I'm so tempted to install it, but again, your experience has left me weary of it.
Hmm, well, that's to be expected, since that still probably needs to be updated for this latest DLC. Not seeing what the contents are, yet, I can't make any judgment calls.

No worries, I know how the sleep deprived brain turns to mush all too well.

NEO is in a loading loop? I remember other people saying that happened to them, but I can't remember why and what fixed it.

And, about that pic, jeez, did you Adjust Ki's boobs, too!? They're HUGE, lol!

It's SBX 2.5d, now, and you should use it! >_< And yes, you MUST use the test version of plasticmind's graphics patch, otherwise, again, you'll have issues.

Silly guy, why don't you just save all the outfits? That's what the feature is for! The nail polish I understand, though. Oh, and did you know that since the DLC update from a couple weeks ago that we could now save our Face and Body settings in the Maker? Very handy!
That's another way to save yourself the trouble of making so many cards for one character.

Wait, which version of the 4k mod have you been using? I hope that you're using the newest, otherwise that's probably why you're having issues.

I'd install the SBX after the 4k, too. Always to be on the safe side, apply both patches after installation.

Hmm, I wonder if I should just compile another megapack of essentials for you to download? It would all be maker oriented, and nothing to do with clothing.

Really, only Ki's? I wonder why that would be? Is there anything different with her card from everyone else's? Maybe try reapplying the wideslider patch?
I'd wait and hope that plasticmind updates the 4k skin, soon, since he implied pretty heavily that he was going to do that this weekend.

Yeah, I just checked, you keep the Intensity in the 20's. I tend to go 40+ for Intensity; with Softness, somewhere in the 70-100 range.
Never thought about kicking up the softness more, though, since with the added Intensity the results can be a bit messy. I'll have to take a look.
Thank you, I WILL go for it! ^_^ It just bothers me that most of them regard that style of skin as if it were the right and only way to do it...
I refuse! I'm rebellious by nature, anyway, so I guess it's not too surprising.

I wouldn't doubt that it has something to do with that new update. I haven't installed it, and I'm still scared to do it, so I can't look into it, for ya.

Had yourself some Stellaris fun with Q? It's good to just kick back and have fun with games, though, so nothing wrong with that!
On the other hand, lol, yeah, very dangerous when it comes to time for other things.

No biggie, all I've been doing is going through my girls, again, and ended up giving Jeon Min-Ah a makeover. That said, I do miss the heavy specular and the way the skins looked in the old studio.
I wonder if I should just crank the skin Intensity/Softness for all my girls a little bit to get back that look? I know most of these creators follow the boring rule of low shine to get a more smooth, "realistic" skin tone, but I find the look to be pretty dull most of the time.
What do you think? I recall your girls mostly having a lot of Softness to get that oiled-up look, but not too much in the Intensity.

Jeez, sounds like you're ready to fork out the cash. I'm currently running with an FX-8370 and a recently acquired MSI GTX-1060 6GB. It'll be awhile, but I think I'll eventually make the jump to an Intel processor. It just feels like AMD has run its course, and isn't up to snuff with Intel processors.
I don't know, though, are their latest processors a step in a new, more promising direction?

Ahh, well, I don't blame you for trying, then. The battle arena does seem like it could be fun, so I'm happy that the rumor of it being for only Japanese Internet use was false.

Nonetheless, I will wait until the 4k and other mod dust has settled until I take a dive like that.

Brick would just take the punch and consider that a first step in scoring with her, too, ha ha!
