Well the ln has some scenes that aren't from the anime so i would start from the beginning but if i wanted just the story then start from where the anime left off.

I am constantly torn between Rossweisse Irina and Xenovia XD

dxd isn't

I barely managed to get through 3 volumes of of date a live

but in dxd I have read all 16 more then once.

Well loved the anime (and am glad that there's gonna be a second season next season) so I thought I'd pick up the LNs.

Other LNs I've tried reading before include Hidan no Aria and DxD

But it's still going to take ages before I finish even one book, especially since I turn to checking the dictionary/writing a new word down in a vocabulary book every other sentence.
Hope my Japanese improves fast enough :P
