Story? Kinda hard to explain that since the story in every game is different. If you want a main story you could just say that alot of people live in a world called Gensokyo which is protected with borders so outsiders isn't supposed to just waltz in there. There's 2 kind of races there, human and youkai, and the main character who is a shrine maiden named Hakurei Reimu dislikes youkai since most of them does evil acts towards humans like for example eating them. And it's the shrine maiden's duty to protect Gensokyo from possible catastrophes. And every game is about a catastrophe.
