It seems like a really small price to pay to me. If you just activate the CB for CBD, it's a minus card advantage on your side, but it's also considered a plus since it means your opponent is down 15k shield (3x chances to intercept). Then you get a card advantage after activating his soul blast.

As long as you have enough cards to make up for the ones you used up for the counter blast, it's possible to save Dust-tail and Palladium for the moments when they're most needed. With this in mind, you can get a +5 advantage (even more when forcing your opponent to guard as well). Wish I could make a deck revolving around CBD since it seems really fun.

iirc, CBDs second skill can only be used once per turn. It must be combined with dust-tail to achieve maximum efficiency. You'd want to lock at least two front RG when playing with LJ. But the nice thing about CBD's second skill is that it isn't limit break.

CBD based deck is very expensive...
