Hello! Been lurking the forums for quite a while. If you are still looking for a musician, I am free of service. I am able to compose music due to A. 12 year experience piano and B. Completion of High school music. Though I cannot guarantee good results as when it comes to composing music, I mainly make melancholic pieces. However, it would be a good experience if I attempted to make happy music as well xD

Aight! Theres just one problem though, and I'd also like to ask a question. The instruments i can play are piano and to an extent violin. However, the question that i needed to ask clicked onto my head. How do you guys expect to record the music? I don't have an electronic keyboard and its gonna be an issue to record stuff without static. If you guys plan to use computer programs to make your music, I don't have any issues with that. :(
 
[MENTION=35170]MeiKo[/MENTION] ; I do have programs that are used to compose music. We may work with that, but I am in no position to compose music as I am still an amateur at producing melodies and the such.
 
[MENTION=25364]Decalcomania[/MENTION] ; Alright. If there is no need for a keyboard, that's great! I'll see if I can find ways to record music without background static as I am a firm believer that real thing>synthesized.
 
[MENTION=35170]MeiKo[/MENTION] ; I do have an electronic keyboard that I can use. What I suggest that you use is a high quality microphone, such as the Blue Snowball which costs around $100 at minimum.
 
[MENTION=8332]samyeung46[/MENTION] ; Of course! xD I'll probably follow Decalcomania's suggestion of getting a high quality mic. Static is mainly caused by a really bad sound recorders, which is what most phones, mp3 players, ipods, iphones, have.
[MENTION=25364]Decalcomania[/MENTION] ; Its a nice suggestion, and I've heard good things about it. I'll buy it when My High School Finals finish, get my computer upgrades and have enough moneyz for the mic. However, I can compose in the meantime.

[MENTION=8332]samyeung46[/MENTION] ; It is true that I started playing the piano since 12 years ago, however i took a break when I reached high school. Initially, my parents had pressured me to play piano, and I disliked it for quite a while and was a little happy when i stopped. I played here and there but did not practise enough. It wasnt until 2-3 years ago, when I realised that music was one of the few things that defined me as an individual (as I did show off a bit to classmates who knew that I played), and I grew to love it. Although officially, I qualify as a Grade 5 pianist, now I can play stuff in the 8th grade (there are 8 grades and 5 qualifications after).
TL;DR Took a hiatus but returned better than before :)
 
Lol my cousin is grade 8 too and shes 16? Idk xD But she stopped this year... Shes the highest in the family atm~

Your story sounds similar to mine~ Ive been doing visual arts for 8 years but then i didnt really "like" it until it was the last year of high school and too late to try for an art school... It was just something that i did up till then... But i find it enjoyable now~ Going for the arts school finally xD
 
[MENTION=35170]MeiKo[/MENTION] ; Ah, yes. I have a few friends who were in the 8th grade, though I do not know whether or not they still play. There were several rants about their teachers and how strict they were with the way they play.
