Well, I've seen a few episodes of Digimon Tamers and a movie and... that's... it?

Ah I see. Tamers was a good series, but I preferred the first one over it. Tamers is definitely in my top 3 (though there aren't many Digimon series to begin with for me to list them in order of which is better).

The movie you watched...is it Digimon X-Evolution by any chance?

I have no idea. I watched about ten years ago, probably less. The only scenes I remember was where Tai was trying to reach his love interest on the phone and her grandmother picked up and kept mishearing everything he said and thought he was selling ties when he was trying to say his name was Tai.

Pretty sure there was his little sister's birthday cake involved too, or something like that.
