Late reply, but I'd say that everyone who's been into NTR long enough and watched/read/played enough NTR works does this. Everyone. With every kind of story you enjoy.
Whether it's a game, anime/manga related work, or even something more normal like watching a show on TV, you'll see NTR anywhere it might be. Every time you see a situation progressing slightly similar to one in a NTR eroge you've played, you immediately imagine it leading to infidelity and feel disappointed when it doesn't. You just can't get away from it.....
I wouldn't expect too much from him. As great as those games were, both suffered a lot from premature and half-assed endings that just screamed the fact that the guy had plenty more he meant to include but just got bored of the process and cut it short. All the more frustrating due to how good it was getting and how great it could have been if it had kept going with the natural flow of events to reach a satisfying conclusion. I get pissed off just remembering it......
