Trivia note: At the wedding party, Melody Pond is one of the guests, shown in one brief shot. We won't see her again, or know her significance till Let's Kill Hitler.

Peter Capaldi is doing a good job as the new Doctor. No more "timey wimey" stuff, his Doctor is dark and introspective.
 
I still prefer Tom Baker & David Tennant as "The Doctor". Did they ever give his original name, I always expected it to be revealed at the end of the series.

In 50 years, they've never given his real name, but in the earliest Doctor Who incarnations, it is implied that he may have led the Time Lords once.

They will probably never reveal his name... but I will... he's actually

H.G. Wells, the original Time Lord! :laughpanda:

Well, he was married to River Song. Also, the first Doctor (William Hartnell) traveled with his granddaughter. Lots of references to love interests, like Queen Elizabeth 1st. And all those hot companion babes...

I think we can safely say The Doctor never took a vow of celebacy. :evillaugh:
