I definitely understand why they would be offended! Being made fun of is not fun at all, if it is done in mean spirits. Being bullied isn't cool.

The difference is that when the people respect you and just want to have a good time, then it's all good fun. :)

well yeah, but they're just words. i understand getting offended by certain actions, but not words. the only time i could get hurt by words is if someone very close to me said something mean, with the intent of hurting me. otherwise, words don't hurt me at all

Then you have more steel than most. The majority of bullying is via words (a lot easier to say something mean than hurt someone, especially to do so and get away with it), and there are a good deal of kids actually killing themselves over it. I'm normally pretty slow to offense myself, but some things can get me mad pretty fast. :/

well i've always been a fairly passive person. for example, the other day our grill caught on fire, and i just .very casually walk over to the fire extinguisher, and put out the fire. there was no sense of rushing like the rest of the crew was doing. i have this "oh well" stance on life i guess
