Actually, there was a theory that an ancient mummy princess on board had cursed the ship and that's what caused the incidents to happen that made it sink.

Apparently, a bunch of archaeologists dug her up in Egypt and wanted to get her to where ever it was the Titanic was headed (I forgot - where was it?) so they thought it would make sense to put her on the Titanic since the ship was going there anyway. The thing was that before her tomb in the pyramid, there was a warning that whoever disturbed her resting place would be cursed. And upon carrying her mummy case out of the pyramid, one of the archaeologists was allegedly killed by a local. They managed to get her aboard the Titanic and... you know.

Not sure how accurate all this is though, since the only source I got it from was a book about Egyptian mummies and Pharaohs.
