about that game, i think its really flat. You dont give doro(yan)deres guns, and chainsaws certainly dont go with maids. >.<

Flat is not flat literally, they are unique. Not yanderes or doroderes, anything can happen in a game of life and death and the dere part is close to non existence ww. Any romance in flat games are more subtle (which is a HUGE + for me), not slapped in your face like rabu games rofl. Guns and weapons are +++++ and maids fit chainsaws perfectly after playing the trial. AND ZOMG CLIFFHANGER THAT REACHES WTF TERRITORY had me on the edge of my seat.

Flat games don't go mindfck, only to mindblowing territory. Flat games have awesome protags and logical, solid endings that you will not scream deus ex machina although some flat games have magic elements. Stories nowadays like to rely on miracles and deus ex a lot. Of course, secret game is all about suspense, puzzle and mindgames and the conspiracies.

Heres my tentative list, in no order of preference as of yet:

1. 11eyes - Resona Forma -> confirmed - 11eyes Fan Disk. Anyone who played 11eyes should get this.
2. Duelist Engage -> confirmed - Caught my attention back in January, definitely on play list.
3. fortissimo//Akkord:Bsusvier -> confirmed - The drawings and animations are top-class. Solid game filled with bishoujos, YES!!~

The unconfirmed rest, >.<

1. Aiyoku no Eustia -> low chances - I am quite wary of August games, good plot and everything is expected, though they just dont fit my tastes.
2. Secret Game CODE:Revise -> mild chances - Looks to be quite the intriguing 'dark' game. Wary of getting mind-f***'ed, Kou's favorite type.
3. Trouble@Spiral -> mild chances - Another high school romance? Cute characters though.
4. Hatsukoi Time Capsule -> mild chances - Exactly as above
5. Marguerite Sphere -> low chances - Twincest again? Sounds dangerous...
6. Yuusha to Kimi ni Hanataba o -> high chances - interesting set-up, probably my type of game, though characters dont look tasty enough.

Hmm, I agree about you with August's character designs looking "recycled"... Bekkankou needs to be more creative. Seeing how almost all the girls from Yoake Mae and Fortune Arterial look like they were made from a template... However, when August had Eustia site up about half a year ago (I think), I couldn't deny that the first impression stroke right into me.

Marguerite Sphere - I'm fucking getting this! wwwww Meteor's revive with Shiomizaki Gakuen was definitely something to go （＞ω＜） about, and I'm a sucker for Yuyi's artwork. >_> Around the end of 2010 she kept tweeting of updates on the site and provided some exclusive goods like this for only a few days before Christmas, not to mention the preview image Check had me TL back then... Matsuri. Do. Want.

Walkure Romanze (Valkyrie Romance, is it?) characters remind me too much of Princess Lover somewhat... dunno why, I guess it's blindly the fact that they're both Ricotta games www. Personally not my taste though. If it's about valkyries, I prefer someone like Kyrie from Valkyrie Complex >_> <_<

Everyone has to agree on August's recycled pieces. When i first saw Yoake early last year, I wasnt into eroges yet, but I remembered seeing Fortune Arterial before. I couldnt figure out it looked so familiar until I did a random check and yes, they are the same company. When I saw Eustia for the first time in December, I thought it was a fan-disk of sorts. Later did I realise the truth. I think the game producers must have went like "Get me Haruna's chara design! We can change her hair color and face shape and cast her into Eustia. Budget and problems solved."

No comments on Secret. (warui nee, kou.)

Magurite Sphere... I felt it was a blatant rip-off of Sora from Yosuga though. Twin-little sister, twin-tails, and likes to 'do' things while alone. Meteor eh? The ones who Clover Point if memory served me right. But i didnt play it too. Hmm, maybe I can re-consider this, but its not again likely.

Well, cant deny that after all, both games are from Ricotta. Been waiting since 2009 when they first announced the title, been sometime already. Cant wait for 24th June, seriously. Why I am so caught up with Ricotta was probably(most likely come to think of it) because Princess Lover was my very first Jap eroge. Even till now, I am falling in love with them all over again.
Ahem, despite my well-documented love for *ahem* bewbies, my favorite chara in Princess Lover was Houjouin Seika, the only heroine who was flat.(takes a swipe at kou) She is twintails too, so she fits a certain someone's taste perfectly. Personality and story, she was definitely better than the other heroines in the game.

Lol.. Bekkankou's character design is simple but it works somehow and who needs sugoi character designs when you have that backgrounds porn in Eustia, actually the simple character designs make the background better as in not stealing the spotlight. I am more of a background lover (Shinkai's cloud porn fanboy!). Eustia's selling point is the settings and potential story anyway. THAT CLIFFHANGER, uncorroding chains, group that hunts 'ppl who grow wings', the contrast between the upper society and the dark 'prison', and mysteries is right up my alley <3. It's like they take the mystery element (vampires) in FA and the politics in Yoake and combine them to a VN with a lot of potential~ Did i mention the male lead is an assassin (not dense and potential epic GAR male lead)?

Tl;dr Eustia is so much want!!

For Marguerite Sphere, almost everything is from Clover point ._. even the characters are almost the same. I already played Clover point so unless i hear good impressions/reviews (likely Micchi's job), i will be skipping this for Vanitas no Hitsuji. Marguerite Sphere is still good for ppl who missed Clover point even if the story might just be a remake/rehash of Clover point all over again >_>.
