i just support D.A. opinion it matches mine, though i might be also wrong, but that's on my mind right now!

[MENTION=2]Ignis[/MENTION]; think about it if someone let's just say 2 entries with superb content then the others are prety much dead because if those two entries would get the more votes and summurise the votes together or even without summurise them the one with the 2 superb entries might take 1 and 2 place! ot so fair ;)

True, but there's no real reward for getting the second place, which means that there's no harm either in having two entries made by the same person to occupy both the first and second places. Also, as I said, a single entry from a contestant can still win over multiple entries from another contestant if it's dazzling enough. But I don't disagree that a gap too far could be detrimental to a contestant's spirit.

Actually, I was thinking of anonymous entries and votes, which might help reduce the setback of allowing multiple entries as well as the bias people might have (such as people voting for entries because they're made by people they like, thus clouding their judgement on the pluses of other entries). However, if entries are submitted anonymously, that means they'll need to be sent to me via PM and we won't have an entry thread for showcasing the entries. This may very likely result in less enthusiasm and chatter as there's nothing visible to comment on.

So, to be honest, I'm not sure yet. I'm in favour of having an SOTM that allows for multiple entries, but I see what you mean. I'm open to suggestions if you have an idea that you think may help regulate (for lack of a better word) it. What you said reminded me of something, though: in the short posts I write to announce winning entries, I've always focused only on the first-place winner. No runner-up, no third place. I should start focusing on the runner-ups too, at least.

I support this idea and I understand you point regarding less enthusiasm and chatter. But correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it within a mods power to make/add a post? A post could be made with all the entries that were PM'd to you (or another Mod). Just naming them "Entry #1 ", "Entry #2 " and so on would suffice. After the poll closes the winner and his/her entry would be reveiled.

I'm sure I put this in a way that easier said than done so excuse my ignorance x3
