Presents~ ask or surprise?

Sooooo there's people that ask what you want for a gift (birthday or christmas?), and there's people that surprise you. Which would you rather have people do for you? Which do you prefer to do for them?


I kinda think it means less when you tell them x-x I'd rather not expect it and surprise them as well~ :P

I would probably prefer to keep it a secret just because of the reaction you get afterwards when they realised that they got something they wanted x)

Hmm currently im in the process of enjoying my new found interest in SAO working on a friend's present~ I basically asked her some random stuff and she said that SAO was her favorite... whatever... atm so now im just spending whatever tons of time reading as much as i can before Christmas xD Will hope to finish the 10 ln and anime... maybe the manga too? xD Then think up something to make out of it all~ Might be a painting? Might be something else~ So does this count as surprise or ask? xD

I would rather be asked
