I just finished Kokoro Connect a few days ago

Not really a mystery anime, they didn't even bother to try and find out who/what Balloon was

For my 2000th post I will say this: the setting is pretty much the same, but I know Gosick came out first, and it has more episodes that cover all the light novels and has a solid, awesome ending. Dantalian no Shoka is good, but like Kokoro Connect you would have to read the light novels to know the true ending

Gosick is like Sherlock Holmes, if you've read the series. Kinda like walks into crime scene, solves everything in the head and pwn the police
