Laktu, maybe wrong spelling. That cloud guy from mario cart that fishes you out when you fall to your doom, or that holds your camera in mario 64. :)
 
They show it at the start I think, and there is one room with mirrors where you can see him floating behind you :) Really fun idea I think :D
