Steam's Autumn sale is happening right now, and I've been talking myself in and out of buying The House in Fata Morgana. I want it... but I'm also a little afraid it's going to eat my life for a while.

It depends on how. um. INTENSELY the ear in question is being attacked. I'm okay with a little, but when it sounds like someone is slobbering all over my ear like an excitable golden retriever, I fast-forward. I cannot abide slurping sounds. Ugh.

My own doodle. A zombie cupcake (with raspberry filling).

I tend to purchase localized games and games that were originally developed in English. If it's in Japanese, I generally won't pay for it until the localization becomes available, since I don't really want to pay for it twice. I have spent money on mobile games before, but it's very easy to...

...- 2026, English Touchstarved (Red Spring Studio) - "to be announced," English Tree's Love Crossing Above (Apes boom) - "coming soon," Chinese *This Game is Not Real (びぶ/viv) - game is released, localization is pending; time-frame unknown. Also, it was mentioned earlier as a concept, but I...

It really IS baffling. Like, sir, my file is named "af-2.zip" and is password protected. Where exactly are the red flags you're seeing, because you shouldn't even be able to OPEN it??

You're kind of missing the point, I think? Your original question asked if people here make it a point to use the worst file-hosting sites, and while "worst" is subjective, my response offered a reason why people might use file-hosting sites that you might not like. For someone who uploads...

Oof. I play... a lot of games  RPG, JRPG, puzzle, cozy... some personal favorites include Baldur's Gate 3, Expedition 33, the Mass Effect trilogy, Cyberpunk 2077, the Persona series, the Dragon Age franchise, Stardew Valley, Core Keeper, Witcher 3, Final Fantasy VII, Chrono Trigger, Crime...

I think a lot of it has to do with what's available for free. For example, the two sites I use are mediafire and mega, but there are some definite limitations. A free account with mediafire gives you 10GB - it's great for smaller files because the links last a long time. But if you're using a...

Combat is definitely one thing that can spice up gameplay a bit, as long as the mechanics are interesting and fun. I don't mind it in an otome at all, but that sort of starts to warp and blur the lines what KIND of game you're actually playing. (Not that I personally mind - I like all kinds of...

I second the vote for Love and Deepspace. Last update I attempted told me I needed over 40GB, which means I can no longer play it on my phone (which is ridiculous because I bought a new phone LAST YEAR). If I wanted to play it, I'd have to emulate it on my computer (which was one of two reasons...

For otome: 7scarlet: World's End Syndrome Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome: self-titled (someone recommended this to me and started playing recently. the opening is not at all my usual speed, but it's super cute and perpetually stuck in my head 😭) For anime, I tend to like ones that are older...

I kind of miss the community as well, but sending money for tapes into the void and crossing your fingers and hoping that whoever you were trading with was legit? That I do not miss at all. Or finding that one person who had the last 2 episodes of a series you were obsessed with and then...

Mid-forties, and I know a few gamers in their fifties and sixties. You're still baby. I was there for WEBRINGS. Hell, I used to get my illegal fansubs mailed to me on VHS. I used to have multiple VCRs set up so I could watch anime on one while simultaneously playing/recording on two...

I did a little bit of editing for a scanlation team 20+ years ago. Some days it feels like sound effects are a lost art. I've honestly been debating with myself recently about tackling an CD or a game... technology has come a LONG was since I last did it, and I think it would be a fun...

I like versatility in my games, so I prefer a switch. If I can't have switching, I'll go for bottom, then top. I mean, realistically, I just want all the sex. Not sure if anyone here has mentioned it, but BLits has a game in development called Seven Nexus. At this point, I think there are 5...

:fulfilled: Thank you for reading. Being kind of old and having lived through it, I have an abundance of thoughts about development of the BL community over the years, and most of my BL friends IRL don't have much interest in the gaming aspect of the fandom. I tend to get a little excited to...

I don't necessarily think that I would qualify the romance in Baldur's Gate - or any of the other franchise/games like Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Fallout, Cyberpunk 2077, etc - as specifically just for women (although the direction is definitely more inclusive, and women are a part of that). I...

👀 I have no idea if I'll like it or not, but I can say with absolute certainty that I am DEFINITELY interested.

I am honestly DESPERATE for this game.
