    Better. We're on a dedicated server while SH is on a VPS. VPSs are generally cheaper and weaker than dedicated servers.

    Well, the server does cough sometimes, but we'll see if it'll turn to the worse.

    Oh, that's how the system is, just like Hongfire. When you thank a user, you automatically give them rep, and yes it does count as if you had repped the person using the rep button.

    Hell no, it's expensive like a joke. It's only good in its 10TB storage, but we have a much more massive dump space for storage purposes. And as a dedicated server, 20TB bandwidth per month for $699 is ridiculous. Don't compare the server SH is using to ours btw - SH is using a VPS, virtual private server, and not a dedicated server.

    NH is... well... $450 per month is total bullshit. I think the one they're using is http://webnx.com/servers/dedicated.html and I'd say that company has expensive prices. Quite a foolish choice seriously. Pretty sure they only spend about $100 per month for the server cost, though.

    HF pays about $190 per month if I'm not mistaken, and the colocated server is worth about $6000. 185ms? That's better than mine; I have 369ms in average. Our server isn't bad at all, nor is it cheap actually lol.

    Yeah, we are, just that there are quite some sites being hosted on the same server, thus easing the load with anything possible is a must. Why anyway?

    Ok, I just had a talk with Checkmate about it, my options were to either enable image files to be uploaded in attachments and album pictures, or keep them disabled and disable the album feature altogether. We agreed to choose the second option. Sorry, I should've disabled it to begin with, since we need to do whatever we can to ease the server load. There are tons of image hosting sites out there, after all. :P

    Attachments eh? You can only attach torrents on the torrent section. Aside of that, we don't allow attachments. It's too risky; you never know what users could attach.

    Check the date AS was founded (my registration date) and my last online date on SH - I simply haven't appeared in SH that long. So yeah, I wasn't exactly telling anyone about AS being up. As about Fuyu, Soso, etc., they've been part of "us" for quite a while, lol.

    BakaBT is the only private tracker when it comes to anime.

    Hongfire closed its own a long time ago, everything posted in HF is uploaded to 20+ public trackers or more.
