Same here!, there are some I still play whilst being developed but it usually when I can see the author is active and update the game with new chapters. There's too many that start something off for it to just stop and disappear. 😭

Yea I know it more non japanese otome games you can self insert and change apperances. I think for me MC always have a typical appearance. Brown Hair, pale skin etc when you read that so many times I just separate from it, but I want to feel as I'm part of the game. Oh I do dislike some MC...

For me it felt silly, it was Dragon Age Veilguard..... I think I was burnt out and I just bawled into tears and tried to play it again and did the same thing. I was like I don't think I can deal with this any more

I'm kinda the opposite I sometime enjoy self insert, it's not a problem with MC with personality. However it kinda breaks the immersion for me, I think that's why I've switch to IF's cause I play the games and I see an MC and they just look the total opposite of me.
