Anime Sharing - Netorare General Discussion Thread

Do people continue to put stock in Avantgarde's NTR works? I found Elf Wife lackluster, while Furry Ear Girls was perhaps the biggest disappointment I've ever had with a netorare game (my hpe was immeasurable for it, as kitsune NTR is so vanishingly rare); Immoral Quartet was just boring all around. Don't get me wrong, the art is always incredible, but his actual netorare plots are pretty consistently terrible. Still, I like the setting at least.
IDK to what you compare their games, but they are solid mid-tier. Way better than the vast majority of RPG-maker NTR games. NTR plot is pretty much standard in their games, that's already better than some questionable experiments. Furry Ear Girls has good enough NTR-routes closer to the end of the game and enough romance/vanilla sex to make them matter. And Immortal Quartet had some really hot scenes, though I skipped most of the "common route" as most of the romance happens past branching. Overall, their games have high production value with amazing art AND voice-acting (something RPGM games severely lack), and their writing while average at best, follows standard NTR type B formula, which is good enough to me. Also, their sex scenes are decently written and have a lot of male domination and no ugly bastards, both of which is great. Considering the lack of quality NTR games out there, I definitely wait for their next NTR game. It seems they decided to focus on one heroine again, that's reassuring. In comparison, there're games like this one:

https://www.dlsite.com/maniax/work/=/product_id/RJ417027.html

That seemingly have potential for something great, but end up being extremely disappointing h-scene-wise. This one in particular has h-scenes that last, literally, for one minute with just a few lines of dialogue. That's kind of ridiculous, but I understand that they probably tried to save money on all this voice-acting for so many girls.

I have no comment about Immoral Quartet, from what i ahve read is a game where you either love it or hate it (well not hate but more like meh, wich is your reaction), i actually liked the elf wife ntr game, and the furry ears girl wasn't that bad but mostly because of the art (always a good fap xD), but yeah for me Furry Ears girls is their weakest ntr not because is bad but because you have to intentionally trigger the scenes and then is like a rewind so technically it never happens? Not sure sinc eits been a while but that is the impression ir emember, i HATE when the ntr has no impact, is why i dislike GOR ntr (when the girl gets ntr when you lose) since very few do it right.

This one actually looks good, who knows maybe they willa ctually nail it this time?

PS: ironically the game i like the most from them is https://www.dlsite.com/maniax/work/=/product_id/RJ344418.html wich isn't even netori, can't wait until its translated (i feel confident it will someday xD)

In Funny Ear Girls you don't really need to rewind, though. And there are also full-fledged ntr-routes, not only rape on defeat. There's corruption and impact of the NTR, in fact you can see the changes in the girls while having vanilla sex with them as the protag. Hot stuff.

I played their Demon Lord mind control game (the one you liked), but didn't finish it. I found both gameplay and plot lacking, their nekomimi game at least had a Job-system like in earlier Final Fantasy games, to spice things up.

I can't really agree with your evaluation of Furry Ears at all. The majority of content is simply a 'Would you like to fight this battle, or whore the heroine out?' choice where the protagonist just shrugs his shoulders with a bizarre disregard at odds with the vanilla conten0t, or just flat out GOR. The actual 'netorare' itself is limited almost entirely to a few scenes at the end where the protagonist is barely present in events and, in case of Serena anyway, triggered, once again, by purposefully whoring her out over and over. While I did really enjoy the aspect of the heroine actually betraying you in the final battle, even something by goddamn Bell Voice delivers it with more impact. While from the little I bother to recall about Immortal Quartett it was an interesting setting ruined by a boring, plodding introduction and a tired 'I raped you, so now you have to do what I say' NTR setup that made me give up playing it entirely.
Like I said, Avantgarde has interesting settings and wonderful art, but I would never recommend them as a netorare dev to anyone I know. They have so little introspection on the part of the male protagonist that it rarely feels like netorare at all, and much more like mere corruption games instead; which is fine, but not what I want from netorare.
As for RJ417027, I've talked about it deprecatingly here when it came out. It was a disappointing game by every standard but it's gameplay elements, while often tedious and lazily implemented were at least somewhat interesting (a hallmark of the circle). My imagination can do all the heavy lifting when it comes to the erotica after all, so I always prefer those RPGmaker games that have a game system which engages the player more than I care about art. (That said, RJ417027 is in no way worth 3000 yen).

I guess you're rather choosy when it comes to ntr games. I mean, "I raped you, so now I'll blackmail you with that" is literally the plot of half of type-B games and manga. And protagonist rarely plays any significant role other than allowing you, as the player, to care about the heroine. If you're more interested in the mystery aspect, then I understand your disappointment. But I'd say that they definitely give enough time for the protag to interact with the girls to make you feel ntr-ed, well maybe other than their elf girl game. Both in Furry Ear Girls and in Quarter, you start officially dating the girls after some more casual interactions before real ntr happens (other than battle losses in the former). Many games skip this part altogether, starting from "here's your wife / gf / childhood friend" and then they're fucked with barely any build up or interactions between the heroine and the MC. Both of those games work well enough even if you skip ntr conent altogether. In fact, I'd recommend doing just this at your first playthrough, which I did. Immortal Quarter actually has some decent vanilla routes that make the actual NTR hit harder. Its main problem would be how much of a hassle it is to get all the routes.

I don't completely remember the ntr avant-garde game, but I remember having the exact same feeling as MerrilMan here, ie the ntr feeling was super thin, almost non existent, because most of it was literally "do you wanna whore the girl or not". So while the game vanilla route was ok and the character design very nice, I always felt like the dev had no idea on how to write a proper ntr story.
Maybe it's because too much control is given to the mc, or the yes/no question to whore the girl making the ntr pretty much just prostitution forced by mc. But still, I have no interest in the ntr aspect of their games at all now, even if I can play them as fun hentai rpg.

I dropped the furry ear game as well and never saved it in my computer for replay. NTR should be about relationship building and relationship breaking. I remember vividly in the very first town, with the petite furry girl, you can make her suck dick or fight...SHE WASN'T EVEN MY GIRLFRIEND YET IT'S THE FIRST MAP. Why would she listen to me? What kind of dumb logic is this?

I also agree with multiple NTR baddies, as well as multiple NTR heroine being bad. So much bad JP writing, weak willed women who only exists as cum sleeves without any personalities. This completely defeats the purpose of NTR which is to destroy relationships.

I guess within the JP culture, women are basically subservient and to their husbands / boyfriends in the past. But in the new generation of JP women who are office ladies who do not simply cook your food, clean your hose, and suck your dick.

As such, I highly recommend Nebel https://www.dlsite.com/maniax/work/=/product_id/RJ392812.html. They do most of this right. The FMC is a worker, who works along side with you. You need to actively protect her, or you'll lose her. Still I wish to see more of her thoughts and feelings, but the author acknowledge it as a weakness in their 25000 purchases blog post.

Nebel isn't terrible but it really was too much, too fast for the dev. I don't regret purchasing it simply as support but the good moments are far too heavily outweighed by the tedium. The main issue is how poorly the gameplay elements connect to the scenes, and the entirely non-existent pacing of them. Because of this there's no real 'plot' to her relationship with Lawrence at all, which really hurts what are some otherwise great H-scenes. I found succubus, with its much tighter plot and railroaded progression, to be much more gratifying (after the addition of an actual NTR epilogue, at least).

Ironically the comments about Furry ears girls made me wanna play i again (i only did like 1 and half maps before something shinnier distracted me xD), like both sides raise good points and i think here people are seeing and interpreting things differently (that said i agree with the guy who pointed out that the main issue is how much control/power they gave the MC, that is just stupid in ntr).

You mentioned Bell Voice, they have many games and i wanna try them (with Mtool if nothing else xD), thing is they have many and i am not sure wich are worth it, any reccomendation? You mentioned actual betrayal? I would love to see that.

I wouldn't recommend them at all, really. The use of 3D Custom Girl assets should immediately make clear the sort of quality we're talking about here. Still, the fact they typically occupy the netorare SRPG niche always made them interesting to me.
They're basically Fire Emblem games where you can select a difficulty between: 'You cannot lose', 'Normal' and 'Literally Impossible'. The point being that whenever one of your heroines is defeated, she'll be captured and fucked afterwards; after a few times of that and a few different scenes, she'll be corrupted fully and will betray you in the final battle, literally joining the enemy's side as a unit you need to fight (essentially making victory impossible, which is fun on a meta level). They actually have some interesting gimmicks that play on the FE formula sometimes; stuff like villages which you'd expect to visit for items actually spawning enemy reinforcements, same turn reinforcements in general and other traps to make it difficult to keep your heroines safe.
Still, they are essentially shovelware. The scenes aren't great and the writing is poor, so I definitely wouldn't actually recommend them to anyone, it's just that I personally don't mind wasting time on bad games that have nice scenarios or interesting gimmicks. RJ343148 at least doesn't use 3DCG assets, and had some nice corruption, so if you really want I'd pick that one; none of them are worth actually spending money on though.

Besides, as far as netorare SRPGs go, you can forget about the above because the game I've been wishing for is almost here: https://www.dlsite.com/maniax/announce/=/product_id/RJ01006462.html
Orphanage is a netorare SRPG with great art, a large cast, plentiful scenes, even custom sprite work (including animated special attacks!) and enemy gimmicks! All of it done by one guy working for years. Already a next year release I'm massively hyped for and a day one buy for sure.

Been waiting to play this game for a while. Finally get to play it. One of the most anticipated NTR work for me. Played the trial with textractor. Was decently understandable

Oh yes, i still have to try the english demo (it was made free a few days ago btw if someone missed it) but that is most likely a must buy, hell i may no even pirate it right away!....unless dev doesn't manage to release it into english right away xD

But is nearly certain to be 1 of those games where going the extra mile to buy it is worth it. There are very few SRPG ntr, corruption or even just netori, and most suck (looking at you Wando wando)

I will try that one from Bell Voice to scratch that itch like you said, at least is new to me!

Speaking of trying i played this one https://www.dlsite.com/maniax/work/=/product_id/RJ422694.html and while clearly raw (it being the devs first game) i like it more than many other SRPG, the h scenes aren't great but i liked the different methods of corruption since they didn't involve defeat but rather interactions witht he map or items, and in some cases dialogues between characters, sure is still player trigered but is a nice change from the constant lose to get scene mechanic. But the part that i liked is how the corruption is reflected in the story and maps, like 1 map suddenly is full of enemies because a heroine leaked your location, or the fact there is an actual bad end. The later is what i liked the most since games like https://www.dlsite.com/maniax/work/=/product_id/RJ311963.html there is no actual difference on the endings, you still have to kill the final boss and win the day, only real difference is that in 1 you are the stock shonen harem MC and in the other you end up EMO and alone xD

guess I missed it where can I find the demo D:

...What? That's Diopetes's game which had a pointless five second trial the other day; that has literally nothing to do with Cominami's 群青のオルファネージ ~淫欲に堕ちゆく無垢なる少女~ (aka: Orphanage under the blue moment sky). Hell, Diopete's game isn't even a SRPG.

You can find Orphanage's demo here: https://ci-en.dlsite.com/creator/6302/article/335961. Although it is from several years ago now. The dev also made a webpage for the game if you don't want to dig through the ci-en for more details: https://cominami.wixsite.com/gunjo/home.

Ups, i always confuse the 2 in cien for some reason (even when the fricking banner for each is right there xD), i still am excited for the other game (even if its not SRPG), it looks interesting, also the demo is really just 5 seconds?!?! wtf XD

What is it just the menus in english?

Well, about the orphanage game i am not sure it will really come out in january, i think that already is a delayed release date but honestly i don't mind waiting to be sure the dev releases the game with as few bugs as they can, i hate seeing good games (both h and normal) ruined because they release them with too many bugs

Btw was that one also going to be released in english (even just partially)?

thanks Animefan_09 made it sound like Orphanage had a new demo or that the dev did an English demo. Ive been watching the dev so was all "how did I miss that?"

other news:
played 金色の冷笑 and not sure it;s my type really. I forget the term used for the unrequited love used but you play a character that just admired the princess night from afar since you are a grunt. as for the ending

everything seems to have gone just as she planed and the guy that looked to be corrupting her kills him self cause blood contract reasons. princess night also has a succubus testing you and that what the weird delusions are. so twist ending no corruption going on cause she pretty corrupted in the first place XD.

only got ending 2. (the one I described) all I did is get full glossary and beat training battle. the ending gave the final glossary page. not sure I want to replay to try and find the 3rd ening

not sure how ending one was but 2nd it shows she knew that the MC was watching the entire time and is in league with the shop owner. she also part of the illegal H product showcasing her shelf and makeing money off it. MC never find out about this, shop owner tries to see if MC will give info but is tight liped.

It's BSS ('ぼくがさきにすきだったのに' or 'Even though I liked her first'). For me it actually worked well here, what with NukoMajin's typically indomitable heroine and the whole peeping element which made the scenes so much more erotic. The problem is that the game is just so terribly short and ends completely prematurely; although considering it's NukoMajin the fact that her corruption and expressiveness were all an act is something to be expected. It's erotic and not exactly a waste of a few hours, but it's pretty forgettable.

Cominami has been working on it by themselves for over four years, so I'd say it releases when it releases. They have had some professional bug testing it apparently, although the late January release isn't watertight or anything. And I don't believe I recall ever seeing an English version ever being mentioned.

This might be a longshot, but does anyone happen to have a save for 金色の冷笑 just after or just before the first blowjob peeking scene? My game broke after that and even if I reload earlier saves the next day just loops forever and I can't progress, character sprites dissapear etc. My save must have been corrupted somewhere and I just don't feel like starting over.

Here's mine from literally just before the scene: https://anonfiles.com/9a7fh5P8y1/file5_zip

did you succeed? here it is still bugging, and the save from the post above doesn't work.
