Anime Sharing - Netorare General Discussion Thread

does anyone know what the first choice at the beginning of the ntr princess game say?

I'm not sure why you're playing it if you're not going to even MTL it...
Anyway, assuming you mean the actual choice that appears when you click 'Start', it's asking if you want to skip the entire prologue and go straight to choosing your heroine. Obviously, this is a terrible idea if you haven't read it yet. The trial does not cover the entire prologue either, so don't skip it even if you played that. (Pick the top choice not to skip, the bottom option to skip.)

So, how's the NTR in Netorare Princess? I see tentacles so I'm kinda hoping it's not that type of fast NTR since it's not really the type of corruption I'm looking for. I'm looking for slow Type-A corruption.

Is the new Anim game worth reading through? I hear a lot of people shitting on the writing so I'm not sure if I should invest time in reading through it. Kanojo no Karada's story was okay and I liked that it continues for a while after the MC finds out about the cheating. I think I'm going to try some of the older Anim games and see how they are.

I heard that someone from this site got the new ANIM game to get translated (or MTL). If you're here buddy, could you tell us how did you MTL the game? And is there a way to edit the MTL texts?

Tentacles are Merril's main thing, if you somehow haven't seen her design. As such, the first half of Iris's route is largely tentacle-based scenes (which also secrete aphrodisiac) in addition to her second ending. Iris's route as a whole, and the entire game as far as I'm aware, is Type-B; Iris, for example, is forced to give up her body in order to protect Mars and the knights, only to inevitably fall into pleasure. Corruption is also a major focus throughout the game (and ridiculously hot with how far some of the characters do fall), but it is neither particularly slow or gradual.

There is a tool on fuwanovel forum to extract the _sce.dat file. Once extracted you can translate the text using a tool such as translator++, update the script.json and then rebuild the _sce.dat file using the first tool.

It sounds simple and I did try it on the second homestay game. Well it did not go as planned. The problem for me was that translator++ with deepl kept messing up the file order when exporting to a local directory. I mean the translation is fine and quite readable but the moment I export it to a local directory there are additional lines with "..." or "....." that pop up in between.

I actually translated the entire 21189 lines only to realize that order was messed up and so I just deleted the entire bunch as it was too much for me to sort out.

If anyone has a fix for this issue, I would gladly share the translation once I complete it.

I dislike a lot of the tropes in the NTR Princess game, but damn that was a good game. Would recommend to even people who hate tentacles and blackmail, like me.

Man, people can get through these things fast. After finishing Iris's path I'm still working my way through Nadia's, and I bought it on release! I didn't care much for Nadia going in but her path is so much more engaging in its plot than Iris's, the early tentacle focus on her side made it somewhat weak I feel, but maybe that's just because I don't really like them either.
And the game is certainly very tropey in its content, but that's honestly what I wanted. Fantasy NTR is prevalent throughout RPGmaker and webnovel fare but so rare with an eroge's scale. And while it doesn't really matter in the scheme of things, it's nice to see the game doing pretty well on Dlsite at least (1st and 2nd for the week, 7th for the month); I'd like to see the genre do well.

Do you have any tips on hooking the game? I bought it to support Poison, but textractor has trouble getting a lot of the messages, they just come as '...', closing brackets or half the sentence.

I assume you're using Textractor, as I had what I believe is the same issue; it seems to be a result of the dialogue having in-built pauses to it, regardless of the text speed. The solution I found which works is to first hook the text using ITHVNR and copy it to clipboard that way, then have Textractor simply translate from the clipboard instead. Works fine and you can still overlay over the full screen and everything else.

ITHVNR doesn't have problem with the pauses?

So I decided to play through Tsuma no Biniku to see if it's true the writing was better in earlier Anim releases, and it's definitely true. I will never forget that hilarious "revenge" ending that came outta nowhere. The whole plot from the protagonist's POV was hilarious.

What was up with that one creepy moment near the end of the true path where the game shows the female protagonists smile? Was that supposed to be genuine happiness? Was it supposed to be ambiguous? The text says the male lead doesn't know if it's happiness or sadness but it doesn't look like either to me. Maybe I've been playing too many NTR games.

I didn't like that game even if is from old good days, but the construction was more better than this last release from them I can tell that.
In my opinion all old release of anim need to be in english they are worth it, it's sad to see that anim didn't get attention from MangaGamer instead they translate every shit ntr game ever.

Tsuma no Biniku my favorite of all anim mm games, macho on second place... I like when story(i mean main heroine corruption) develops slowly, in most late games, it comes to crazy f*cking very fast, and i think its not main point of ntr. Its about psycological moments, not just sex. Thats why i like Rascou games and anim mm earlier games. But now i think its some stagnation in NTR genre...:boys2_facepalm:

Yea I notice that story and build-up character become weak and we talking about 2-3 years of poor ntr games, atleast from big company who make vn games and not talking about amateurs like Rascou games.
It's funny because Rascou games have a good games and it's only 1 single man that work it.
Also is pain in the ass when you like "mystery ntr" and see recently mediocre ntr games, with poor execution.
The last game of anim was not wow but neither good enough to tell "that's it this is the one". Ntr home 2 was the last masterpiece from anim. amen

Yes! I love slow building NTR with tons of mystery and sex scenes only when it matters. This is why I prefer reading the protagonist's perspective. I like reading the cheater's perspective too but most of the time the sex dialogue is too saturated with meaningless text and it feels less like NTR corruption and more like vanilla nukige. Boku no Kanojo wa Gatenkei by Elf was perfect even though it was a pain in the ass to complete all the routes.

I'm working my way to completing some of the other recent releases but it does appear that VN NTR stories seem to be getting more boring and cliche. The good news is NTR games seem to be getting better and better for mystery lovers.

Are you talking about Homestay 2? Do I need to play the first one? What makes it so good?

Its a balance, it also depends on how much time you can dedicate to it, if you liek that i can reccomend Honto No Kimochi and Egao no Riyuu from Jinesi https://vndb.org/p3240 (other games are good but those 2 are the BEST in my humble opinion), Netorare Nurse series too

In what world is getting better? japanese hardly release a decent ntr vn with mystery over 1 year, dunno what you talking about "getting better and better for mystery lovers." I wish that could be the true but it's not.
Maybe I missing something but what a good mystery ntr vn game will come or it come recently that you can call a good news?

yea homestay 2, I recommand homestay 1 to because both are masterpiece 1 it's aleardy translated in english, 2 it's not, it's doesn't matter if you start with 2 or 1 both are separate story with a little touch of one.

Ohh god no don't recommand the worst view point mc in the history and I'm talking about Egao no Riyuu all good stuff happen on heroine prespective so it destroy the mystery feeling if you choose only male you don't see nothing not even when both are the same room with heroine fck other as a "hidden" you will hear heroine but not see nothing I mean it's just a empty room when the action happen and that's a big pointless when you left behind because Jinsei choose to execute poorly this scene.
Honto No Kimochi is more better than Egao no Riyuu.

That's literally the best part about NTR mystery though? Some of my favorite netorare games don't have any erotic scenes at all on the protagonist's side, it's pretty much the point.

To me it's about playing with your imagination, giving hints and making you question what exactly happened or when it's meant to happen. So when the reveal hits it changes your perspective on the whole sequence of events. Showing nothing and showing too much are both bad in that sense.
