I was just making lots of little test files to get used to a new library.

The problem is that there seems to be no way to save configurations, so each time I make a new project I need to tell the compiler and linker what the heck to do :/

Basically just telling it where some directories are (that are to the library, and won't change between projects), and letting the linker know what to look for. It isn't a big deal, but it is a pain to do every time :(

Look up the help file (seriously!), it can't be that you need to re-do everything in a basic configure thing. Maybe you need to make a new profile on that for using every new project.

The only solution I found online sounded convoluted and annoying, so I think I just won't bother... and I'll just put all my tests in the same file. Not like I'll come back to them anyways. :/

I've only used C++ from the Visual Studio so I'm not sure.
Been using it for 2 years now, and got used to stuff like that.

Yeah I'm also using C++. I like C/C++ the best so far out of my rather limited experience (Java, C, C++, and ruby).

I looked very very briefly into Python, but never wrote in it.
Never even heard of BASCOM before!

I guess I've also written in LC-3 emulator's assembly language for one class quite a bit (that I actually rather enjoyed!), but it was more of an example thing more than a viable language (especially being assembly and all hahaha).



EDIT: looked up bascom and it appears to be a compiler for BASIC, which I've seen some of, and I think it was one really small step up from assembly language? Been a while.

I'd say Java is a great language that fulfills its purpose rather well. It is a really successful project.

Actually looks a lot like LC-3 code with more features thus far. So pretty much assembly?

Oh wait got a bit further now and it looks like you can do if statements and stuff. So quite a bit higher level then.
