Yes. That should mean that your screen's default resolution is 1280x1024 (though that is kind of a weird shape, close to a square!). Hmm is that a Lenovo then?

Just so you know, the highest you can put it to should be your monitor's native resolution.

That looks rather odd. If your laptop has a graphics card, make sure you have the latest driver installed.

Might as well check the monitor too. In that same screen right click the picture of the monitor and hit properties, and you can tell windows to check for new drivers in one of the tabs.
For graphics card, go to Device Manager (control panel under hardware), find your graphics card if you have one, and then open up its properties and have windows check for a new driver (or go to the GFX card's website and search for your model).

I would give more precise instructions, but apparently my one monitor has a driver update and it doesn't let me navigate normally while it tries to do that. :P
