I guess you need to know where to aim. I have been consistently citadel CA. Just that citadel a BB is much harder now due to the new changes (shells are much more bouncy than ever)

In short, I'm one of the best player and you can pray you never see me in the as the opposing team lol.

I'll take your tip and avoid at all cost. :P I guess the only way to defeat you is to pray you have crappy allies. :D
But I really feel like taking you on. ps I'm a total noob at trajectory games. Only good at aiming for straight shots. FPS~

I read about cruiser/destroyers helping out against planes but how often are players on them gonna be protecting a BB like Montana?
In that video, first few minutes and the Montana is cooked.

I hope the carriers isn't that broken. As a soon to be new player, I sure don't want a match like that.

In that video, first few minutes and the Montana is cooked.

A heavy cruiser like Des Moines can quickly shoot much of the plane down, so, the number of torp in the water will be greatly reduced. Additionally, the special ability from Des Moines can mess up the torp plane aim (thus, the torp spread are wider and is grossly inaccurate, easier to dodge)

Des Moines is the best escort ship, its fearful 3 x 203mm with a rate of fire of 10 rounds per minute are capable of sending 13.5 ton of steels per minute at the enemy. Destroyers will technically vaporized and enemey BB will feel its gun reking their guns, engine, modules, magazines, and being set constantly on fire.

Carriers are now more weakened than ever.

...and battleships actually can protect itself against planes rather well, excluding tiers 3 and 4, where aerial threat is yet to be considered in building a battleship.

US BBs maybe..

Considering how hard it is to get cruiser escorts right now (they don't really have any economic reason to actually help you), IJN BBs are sitting ducks. I tend to group with other BBs to combine AA fire but that still isn't great.

On another note i wouldn't say carriers are more weak than ever, US CVs with fighter heavy setup will perma set you on fire (on maps like hotspot which carriers are quite close to their travel time is shorter) and just shut down IJN BBs (the other problem with this is similar to getting cruiser escorts, shooting down planes doesn't really give you exp or credits). Now for IJN CVs oh boy, there is a reason they took out Taihou and Hakuryuu. Expect dying from these, torps and DVs all over your ships from all directions (I'm pretty sure they can attack you from 360° at the same time)

Of course this is implying the CV captains has any idea of what he is doing and manual drops

Tactical Diameter a.k.a 180 degree turn circle of a BB at combat speed.

Iowa TD : 814 yards = 744 meter
Yamato TD : 640 meter

So little boost for Iowa while Yamato gets so much? Balance as you said.
Well, I don't know how big of a difference that 20m is but still..:yawn:

No, US BB mid tiers turning was absurd, it's hardly possible. The nerf is necessary. I have no idea if Iowa and Montana need a nerf but The Yamato nerf is just wow. I guess I won't bother with IJN anymore.

US ships are typically much better than IJN counterpart at the top tiers for no reason. a Gearing will beat a Shimakaze any time and day. a Des Moines will eat Zao alive any time and day. Montana will kill the Yamato without any sweat, hell, even Iowa can do it without much hardship, just rush at the Yamato. Can't say much about CV war though.

So Yamato is a longer ship but turn better than Montana which is a shorter ship, I suppose it does go with history by the fact Yamato have some pretty damn good turning circle considering how heavy/long the ship was. BB wise, I can kind of understand the Fuso hit since it is performing very well at its tiers, in fact probably one of the best in its tiers, Nagato though...

One thing I'm still really confused about is how IJN CV (I think it was Hiryuu?) have a surface detection of around 13km which is just about the same as my Myoukou....So how does a big ass CV with all the planes and shit have that much of a concealment?

Please note that the turn radius is different from the time it take for a ship to start turning. In this game, it takes mere second for a 60K tonnage metal to change its speed, and to rudder shift for a turn. I'm already calling World of Warships the World of RC Boats now since 0.3.1.

So, The picture you post only tell half a story~

US ships tend to be forced on anti-sameclass roles.

Gearing will beat a Shimakaze any time and day.

US DDs have lots of guns while IJN have torps so US will go after DDs while IJN will go ninja torp BBs

Des Moines will eat Zao alive any time and day.

Same thing, Des Moines has an insane damage and ROF but Zao has torps which gives her more options of attack

You are half right for BBs .Since Montana and Iowa are not that good at penetrating (even to ships like Amagi). I guess if we are talking about same skill players what you say is true but Yamato is strong enough that it's more about who gets the first citadel. Iowa is far better than Izumo but Izumo has a distinct playstyle thanks to the all foward guns, with her HP pool, armor and the sharp angle it can use you get a close fight (but still sadly in Iowa's favor). Amagi vs NC.. That's tricky, for stats listed i would give NC my money but from experience i never had a problem fighting them.
Another thing about BBs which is quite clear, US BBs have far better AA making them very effective at dealing with CVs while IJN have a lot of secondaries which if RNG is on your side will destroy DDs and cruisers in knife fights.

Can't say much about CV war though.

US CV again have been forced to anti IJN role. They have far better fighters with DB support. IJN CVs have a LOT of torpedo bombers, a Hakuryuu can attack a BB from all angles at the same time while setting them on fire with DB (6TB squads and 2 DB squads)




What i'm trying to say with this is that US will give IJN ships a hard time but they are by no means worthless, we have yet so see another nation's full line to see how they go against both US and IJN.

You are right i did notice a buff on my rudder shift which is why i'm not all that angry at the nerf, what happened to the Yamato is quite stupid though

That's exactly what they are doing, if they had their real turning radius Yamato would have 100m on the Iowa now she only has 20.
