What do you value more in otome: the plot or the romance?

De ser posible ambos, es por eso que es tan difícil encontrar otomes buenos, porque a veces se centran demasiado en la trama y cuando terminas el juego te paras en seco para darte cuenta que se supone que era romance, esto da como resultado finales abruptos como por ejemplo que de la nada el personaje de enamora de la protagonista y romances poco creibles.

Es por eso que un equilibrio entre ambos estaría más que bien

I think with so many games, what attracts me first beside character design is the plot, so probably plot first, but after I start to play the game, romance becomes equally important, but I do think that is better when the romance is built through the plot rather than just inserting romantic moments for the sake of romance

Plot for sure! as long as it's well written I don't mind the romance taking a backseat

For otome game, romance cannot be missing from it. But plot is important too because only romance with no story behind it would be boring. A good plot would make the characters more attractive and it's what keeps me engaged.
