I think each of them has their own charm. So games can't be replaced.
I've tried AI before, but the flow of conversation wasn't smooth and it kept repeating the same words...Also, it lacked elements that satisfy the visual and auditory senses, such as a flashy background or music.

I think users have different goals for these two things. So AI chat bot won't replace otome games! In romantic stories, you can find so much more than just emotional companionship.Like the creators' style, their approach to story design.Multiple layers of visual and audio enjoyment. And a lot of girls don't want to interact with LIs either - they just want to watch the stories or go on adventures through the perspectives of people who are different from themselves.

They can only replace the very self-inserty ones, with rudimental plots and no interactions between characters other than the LI and [your self-insert]. Otome games that tell stories will be fine, so don't worry.

Honestly, I don't think AI chatbots could ever fully replace otome games! ♡ I can see the appeal of being able to interact with a character and have conversations that feel more personal, but for me, otome games are about so much more than that. I love the stories, the character development, the voice acting, and all those little moments that make you fall in love with a character even more! (´。• ᵕ •。`)♡

I think AI chatbots can be a fun extra for people who want to spend more time with their favorite characters, but they just can't replace the experience of playing a well written otome game. Especially when a character's voice and personality are a big part of what makes you love them! ♡

AI chatbots offer endless personalized conversation, but they won't fully replace otome games.

Otome games are complete artistic packages-combining crafted plotlines, artwork, voice acting, and music to create deep, deliberate emotional arcs that AI currently struggles to maintain consistently.

Rather than replacing them, AI will likely merge with traditional otome games, pairing high production quality with open-ended dialogue.

I understand that they are really popular and I get the charms, but they are a complete different genre in my opinion, so they can't replace otome games
In terms of the story, it's hard to keep a long storyline and a complex background setting with the chat bots
About the art work, I think there still is a quality difference between so called ai generated artworks used in the chat bots no matter how good they look compared to the real artwork by artists made specifically for the otome games

The day AI replaces humans is still a long way off. For now, it's still just a tool. AI chatbots give players another option, which is a good thing.

I don't think any AI could replace something creative coming from humans. Games are still art and express artistic and creative visions. AI chats might be fun for some, but to me they lack real soul and will always try to please you.. It doesn't have the same nuances as a game.

i've never used them, but personally, i don't think they could replace otome games for me. usually, when something is made with ai, there's just something that feels a bit off to me.

I feel like ai chatbots and otome games are two different things. I also play a lot of Janitor ai myself, but when I play otome games it's mainly for a complete story and romance. ai chatbots feel more like playing out a character concept or a very short story or something🫤 For me, I play ai chatbots to get a quick burst of enjoyment in a short time.

Hmm..., i really don't think so. As someone who plays with both, i think they serve different purposes and offer different experiences.

With chat bots, the whole story and experience depends on the user's participation and initiative. i think most bots rarely move the plot forward and are better in responding to play by play interactions. other factors such as how well the bots' are built and user's reply quality also play a significant role in improving the experience of chatting with one.

Meanwhile with otome games, plot and storyline is readily made for users. how the story starts and it's ending routes are already determined by developers. player's participation affects the how the story progresses, but i think the biggest difference is that while playing an otome game, player's doesn't have to construct how the story should progress next.

At the end of the day, i think otome games are more suited for when you want to immerse in a storyline. every interaction you have with characters in the plot progression serves a specific purpose to the progression of the plot and your relationship with the character. Meanwhile with chat bots, you get immersed in a world setting without a clear start and end to a relationship or conflict. every interactions feel more like passing everyday moments that will eventually be forgotten since they can't stay forever in the bot's memory limit.

Actually, something similar existed over a decade ago, but otome games haven't been replaced in all that time because the needs of their respective player bases are different. Although AI has advanced significantly and responses have become smarter, it still caters to a niche audience.
