Theoretically it should be same as the R4 cart for the standard ds lite systems.

So I believe that will work.

I haven't read anything about the r3 cards being region free.

I am probably safe to say that all the cards do not remove region locking from games.

Who knows, it might be sooner than you think.

I'd say sometime next year when the R4 cart will be region free.
