What do you think about faceless MC ?

I'm honestly not a fan of completely faceless MCs either, I don't mind when their face is naturally covered by hair, angles, or shadows—that looks subtle and fine. But those blank, featureless MCs with no eyes, nose or lips totally ruin the vibe.

I know faceless characters are created so people can imagine themselves as the MC, but personally, I prefer shipping the MC with my favourite romantic interest instead of imagining myself as them, lol (I even choose the default name). For me, a VN/game is better when the protagonist has a distinct personality, and the art and story can make me feel emotions, which is harder to achieve with a faceless MC.

Don't mind it too much but I do prefer if the MC has a custom sprite. A faceless, blank MC kinda looks really out of place especially if the other characters and backgrounds are colored in and done with a lot of detail.

I don't mind it but in general I'm not big on self-inserting, so I prefer having a more fleshed-out MC

I don't mind it but I also prefer if she has a face (and eyes!) bc it does look scary without them. The face doesn't really hinder me from self-inserting but I know it bothers some.

I don't really care about the face of the MC as long as they have personality and feel like a person instead of a cardboard cutout or an empty shell.

I used to not mind it much back in the day, but now it lowkey irks me for some reason? Makes the whole thing feel rather incomplete for some reason, I haven't seen many lately though

faceless is fine if the mc doesn't have much of a personality to begin with, but I do prefer to see who I'm playing with lol.

i think they're a bit of a double-edged sword. tbf, it's great for self-insertion because u can easily project urself onto them. but honestly, it often just makes the character feel blank and boring? i usually prefer an mc with an actual personality or a distinct look rather than just an empty face.

I usually like playing while projecting myself onto the female character, but I don't really mind whether she has a visible face or not haha. Though sometimes when the character has no face at all, it can feel a little awkward and kinda pulls me out of the immersion.

I've never seen a faceless MC before.
A CG with MC looking like that would scare me I think.
Its should look like this :D

Holy! Now I'm truly glad I've never seen them before! lol
That's why I've always been interested in how people can self insirt to MC look like this :) I can imagine Slenderman but not myself :D

I'm not really a fan either, but surprisingly, opinions are divided. These days, seeing faces seems to be taken for granted. If it were an old game, I'd just let it slide, but I still like being able to see faces.

I don't like faceless MCs at all. It bothered me a lot in Mystic Messenger and Sympathy Kiss to not see the MC face. I always viewed the MC as a separate character so not seeing a face feels so weird to me

I don't really mind if the mc is faceless, always imagine mc as my oc to immerse myself with the characters

I don't like it but like it less when the MC is colored in but with no eyes and a full head of hair. If it has to be done then they should just be a gray thing in the shape of a person.
