What are your opinions about AI generated otome voice/games

I see alot of them pretty recently especially on situation voices. I can't say I'm positive to them but it feels like they're inevitable as AI markets gettin bigger every second

it gives low effort :( and it makes me want to cry ! if it's used as a tool that helps only it can be okay and have good results but like just letting the AI do most of the work is only going to bring bad results :(( especially those dull looking arts and even more with the little robotic feels to the voices in those AI music or even voiceovers

I do not support genAI usage. It's not worth engaging with content that someone couldn't even bother putting more than the 2 minutes spent writing a prompt for, not to mention the environmental and ethical issues a lot of current AI models have. My time and money is better spent supporting work by real humans with passion for their craft.

I haven't seen any so far… (thankfully), but I don't support anything made with AI. I don't think I'd enjoy it; it would feel like I'm disregarding all the good games I've played and how much effort the creators have put into them

exactly! I wanna spend money on ^actual^ work made by hard working staffs rather then some ai computers

I can't accept them. Basically, I support and follow familiar writers, artists, CVs. I want to spend my money to support the creativity and passion of real people, not unpolished products ಥ⁠‿⁠ಥ

I usually see AI on doujins covers. Ive never seen AI voice thank god ദ്ദി ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ ) I don't even look at doujin covers with AI-generated photos, let alone listen to them. I dont support AI in products I pay for. If I wanted AI generated voice I would just make my own. But if they use it on covers to make affordable for costumers , thats fine. Still I wouldnt buy them thats a different matter.

Absolutely against it (⁠٥⁠↼⁠_⁠↼⁠) I want to feel soul in the stories I read that are made by real people ^^'
Knowing talented people are behind the work makes it feel so much better to play, I really don't know how anyone could enjoy an AI visual novel at all, and I really hope it never becomes the norm. I want to hear acting performances from real voice actors!! Not from someone else's stolen voice,,

I already stated my stance on AI-generated content: a big no. While I can recognize that it can be used as a tool (even though I still don't like a majority of gen AI models for a number of reasons), I'm feeling very iffy about people using it to basically do the whole things for them.

While the gen AI market may seem getting bigger, it's overly hyped up rn and would inevitably be less hyped in the future due to either the bubble popping or very heavy laws and regulations. It's not going to be completely gone afterwards, sadly, but I'd imagine that human-made art would get valued a lot more and that people would still make art.

It's sad and disappointing. I always double-check for any AI usage on DLsite, especially if the cover looks like AI and no artist is credited. People say 'don't judge a book by its cover,' but I don't care, I'm judging this drama CD by its cover! lol

Now, I either keep the 'exclude all AI-generated work' filter on DLsite or just buy from circles/artists I already know. Tho sometimes you can't rely on it too much, because I found someone used AI for their works but not using the AI tags.

Ai voices imo is mostly never necessary. The only exception being accessibility to disabled persons but that's been around for years.
For art, It depends. If it's an indie dev making their first game; I'll def allow it, especially when it comes to things like using Ai on a photo to make it blend better as a background and things like that.

It's when the devs are already known, have a decent team/funding that it's unacceptable to me. They have the resources and are choosing their wallets over the quality of their work.

That's not to say that all the devs are at fault. Ik it's often the ppl at the top who get the final say, but is sure does show where their priorities are.

Screw AI. If I get to know something I'm interested is using AI in their stuff, forget me. I won't give a single penny to that company anymore.
