Personally for me, Sakuya (Sinsemilla) is better than Sana as she is independent sort of imouto like Minato. I don't know for Micchi yet since he haven't played Sinsemilla but the one threatening Sana is Yaya from Clover point and Tsubasa from Moshiraba according to him.
Moshiraba really has an awesome imouto scenario, simple yet so good.

Minato caused quite a boom among imocons back then ~_~ To me she looks like an oneechan type instead though. Sana is obviously the type who dotes on her brother a lot and still has this childish side in her, but Minato doesn't. Dunno yet about Moshiraba, but I guess I can understand about Yaya. Heck, Meteor is one awesome company.
lol oneecos ftw. Too bad there aren't that many good ane-type characters though, they get too overshadowed by the overwhelming imouto franchise fanbase -_- To me there's not many better than DC II's Otome lol.

my personal favorites from akane-iro were mitsuki-sempai and mikoto-sempai. didnt really pay too much when completing minato's route, cause i was pretty against incest.
Hmm.... actually for most of us, it is the story that counts, not the archetypes and personality. For Micchi. have to see which imouto's scenario is better. For me, deredere can't do much for me >_>.
lol. There are quite a few good onee characters, you just miss them i guess. Sinsemilla has an onee type character, she is my favorite character. As for most of the fanbase, most of them just rely on the general dere personality and character designs, rather than the story behind.
So yea the fanbase is kinda overwhelming with the imouto boom this 2 years.

Itsusora is strongest among all-time favorites. I played all lump of sugar titles, a fan of Moetake, but I am a bigger fan of 朱門 優 (Shumon Yuu)'s stories.
His stories are all excellent, well crafted and has real depth. I like his beautiful and deep romance story in Kitto、Sumiwataru Asairo yori mo, completely absorbed into the setting of the game.
He also does mystery very good (Itsusora is full of mysteries and conspiracies). I like how he doesn't exactly explained the mystery in it, but let the readers speculate based on hints. His story is full of details and small twists (even a name and a small animal is important).
His story main point is still the characters. All VN characters have character development but his characters really grow through time. He uses monologue and internal monologue perfectly which shows real depth in the characters. I like how his character dialogues have two sides based on situations or hints. He also has other stuffs which is kinda hard to explained. My head really hurts after finishing Itsusora final scenario and speculating for 2+ hours.

Nothing wrong with some fanboying, it's just that... I don't think I can really reply to that since I don't know a lot of authors nor usually take note of them w. Maybe just some who get talked about constantly like the Mushroom. I put absolutely more attention on the artists and fanboy over them.

Comyu as in Kuroi Ryuu to Yasashii Oukoku? Yeah, that aside I like its music too. Angel Note is awesome. Was totally addicted to the OP (Ryuu-tachi no Yume by Sakuragawa Megu). Not a fan of mecha but admittedly Baldr Sky's mecha designs are cool. As about FMD Muramasa, it's pure badass. Some look funny like that white girl (what's her name again?), but most others pwn.

Muririn and Kobuichi are illustrators of YuzuSoft, who always seem to work together (maybe they're a yuri couple or something w). They also drew the original LN of Kore wa Zombie Desu ka, though the manga was then illustrated by Sacchi. They did illustrate the spin-off (Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? Hai, Anata no Yome Desu) though.
Inugami Kira a.k.a. kilacco is part of Makura (thus automatically KeroQ as well). She's a (rather) young illustrator who sometimes does cosplay of her own characters (when Mafuyu swimsuits were sold on C78 fans kept telling her to wear one and pose rofl). There have been anime adaptations for some stuff she illustrated like H2O and Seitokai no Ichizon. She's also quite a nice person; I talked to her a few times and she tried her best to reply in (broken) English even though I was using Japanese. xD Too bad she's like really busy nowadays.
Ryohka is the main illustrator of Feng (some consider her as an older sister to Izumi Tsubasu). She's quite a funny person who loves unko (shit)-shaped cakes which she sometimes takes pics of.
Himukai Kyousuke, quite known for Studio Himawari, is an illustrator who talks in polite language, unlike most other illustrators (though I gotta admit Japanese young girls are the worst in terms of use of informal language). Maybe he's old or something lol. Never talked to him personally, but from how he talks to other illustrators, I dare say he's quite a nice person.
Shibano Kaito of kr3 illustrated some JRPGs like the Luminous Arc trilogy. I know nothing about his personality though.
