Red/black or green flag?

Curious, in otome/bl games, do you prefer red flag Li? Or green? Perhaps, even black flag?
If red/black, is it to extend of harming mc too? Or you draw a line at that (as in, you like Li who's obsessed, possessive, crazy, yet won't harm mc).

For me, I usually go with red/black flags. Well, because I love the thrill of it. Since their actions often unpredictable, it makes things more interesting.

I definitely love red black change to green flag of Li. I would still draw a line when the character is unhealthy obsession that make toxic relationship. Red flag is a bit softer for me. I still cannot accept hard mode black flag because those Li should get healthy copping skills rather than relies on female lead. I always want female lead to have healthy boundaries between with Li. I really have strong morals that kick in when Li treated wrongfully to female lead like an object or controlling. Manipulating is like No No for me, it would make me feel bad at the same time.

They yearn in different ways. A green flag always gives this comfy feeling, while red or black flags mean mind control, confinement, or ded lmao. For me, a green flag is home, but red and black flags are an adventure

My vanilla ass gravitates towards green flags. I also love what i call "yellow flags" where he might have been toxic in the beginning and then yearns for FL and has character development. For red flags it depends, is he a red flag because he is obsessive and stalkerish or because he likes to physically abuse the FL? If its the latter im afraid ill have to pass. Agreed with you. Green flags, we would feel warm, comfortable, touched by their actions, etc.
But red/black, well, it gives us a thrill, excitement, goosebumps, etc.

I personally prefer green flag characters. I know there are many characters who start off as red flag but transform into green flag after falling in love with the protagonist. To me, that feels a bit unrealistic and hard to believe; my trust has already been broken, so even if the protagonist gets a happy ending with a male lead who evolved from a red flag to a green flag, I still find it unconvincing—especially when it comes to the foundation of mutual trust in a relationship. If the female lead chooses to forgive and overlook the male lead's red flag past, I just feel like she's being way too lenient.

Oh I get the red flag to green flag one! It's lite getting to see a redemption arc and see how they realise how awful they were and try to earn the FLs love by not only trying to understand the FL more but also themselves so they can be good to their FL.

I really want to say I prefer red flag/black flag characters (because when I find a game with characters like that I get really interested), but after playing a few nsfw otome games recently I realized I actually seem to prefer yellow flag or green flag characters in nsfw games In sfw visual novels I probably lean more toward red flag/black flag characters (the story tends to be more intense, and I can also predict that certain plots I don't like won't show up — like physical harm after drugging or mental control, and because you're pursuing that character's route, even if the MC manages to escape they still end up going back to that LIs anyway)
