Okay. So I downloaded the IRC client. And of course, being who I am, things get all messed up. First, the client randomly closed. So I went back, and I had to re-enter a nickname. It said it wasn't available. Okay. Whatever. I was going to look into it if no one else had an answer. Then what started to happen was people were sending messages, but the client didn't notify me, so I was late in replying. I try to fix it, stuff goes wrong (I don't even know what happened) next thing I know I'm hearing an annoying ping when either I or someone else sends a message. AND IT WON'T STOP. EVEN AFTER I DISABLED ALL SOUNDS. So I deleted it, redownloaded it, and it was still happening. I guess I didn't fully delete it. Okay, so I went to my control panel in my computer to uninstall it. I COULDN'T. And even though I can't find the client ANYWHERE in my computer, I'm STILL hearing that pinging noise when someone sends a message.

I'M SORRY IF I PUT THIS IN THE WRONG PLACE DON'T YELL AT ME ;~;

Oh okay that's fine. And can you tag Hideki for me? I don't know how to do that.. ;~; Because he was explaining something to me there and I forget what he said

I'm using limechat, but I can try to help some x-x

Tools --> Address Book --> Uncheck "Enable highlight".
Alternatively remove the unneeded highlights and use the "Edit" button to disable sounds for the others.

In that case...
